ZIEWNIC GLOBAL TRADING LLC - WARRANTY POLICY

Effective Date: 1st July 2025

1. Introduction

ZIEWNIC GLOBAL TRADING LLC ("Ziewnic," "we," "us," or "our") stands behind the quality and performance of our solar energy products. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions of the warranties provided to our customers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), in accordance with UAE Federal Law No. (15) of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its implementing regulations. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations.

2. Warranty Coverage Periods

The warranty period commences from the original date of purchase by the end-user. The standard warranty coverage for our core products is as follows:

• Solar Hybrid Inverters: 5 Years standard warranty from the date of purchase.
• Lithium Batteries: 10 Years pro-rata warranty from the date of purchase. (Details of the pro-rata terms are provided in Section 6).
• Solar PV Modules: 10 Years product warranty and 25 Years linear performance warranty from the date of purchase.

Note: Specific product models may have different warranty periods. Please refer to your product's official data sheet and warranty certificate for precise details.

3. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, installation, and service, as prescribed in the product's official user manual and technical guidelines. It includes:

• Manufacturing defects that affect functionality.
• Malfunctions occurring during normal and intended use.
• For Solar PV Modules, the performance warranty guarantees a minimum power output percentage (e.g., no less than 90% in the first 10 years and no less than 80% in years 25–30), as specified in the product datasheet.

4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)

This warranty shall not apply to any defect, failure, or damage caused by or resulting from:

• Improper Installation: Installation not performed by a qualified and certified electrician/technician in compliance with UAE electrical standards and Ziewnic's installation guidelines.
• Misuse, Neglect, or Accident: Including but not limited to physical impact, water ingress beyond the product's IP rating, fire, lightning, power surges, or other external electrical faults.
• Unauthorized Modifications or Repairs: Any service, alteration, or repair performed by a party not expressly authorized by Ziewnic.
• Improper Use or Environment: Use of the product outside its specified environmental or operational parameters (e.g., temperature, humidity, grid voltage).
• Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual deterioration of non-functional components, such as cosmetic casing.
• Force Majeure: Damage resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, sandstorms, floods, or other natural disasters.
• Lack of Maintenance: Failure to adhere to recommended inspection and maintenance schedules.
• Use of Incompatible Components: Use with non-Ziewnic or incompatible accessories, parts, or components that cause damage to the warranted product.

5. Claim Process & Procedure

To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

• 1. Notification: Upon discovering a potential defect, promptly notify our Customer Service team via email at info@ziewnic.ae.
• 2. Provide Required Information: You must provide the following information to initiate the claim:
  • Your full name, contact number, and physical address.
  • A clear copy of the original proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) showing the date of purchase and the seller's name.
  • The product model name, serial number, and any other relevant product details.
  • A detailed description of the defect or malfunction, along with supporting photographs or videos.
• 3. Claim Validation: Our technical team will review the provided information and may require a physical inspection or diagnostic tests. We reserve the right to validate the warranty claim and determine the root cause of the issue.
• 4. Resolution: Upon approval of a valid warranty claim, ZIEWNIC GLOBAL TRADING LLC will, at its sole discretion, either:
  • Repair the defective product using new or refurbished parts.
  • Replace the defective product with a new or refurbished product of the same or similar model.
  • In exceptional circumstances where repair or replacement is not feasible, issue a refund based on the product's depreciated value or the original purchase price, as determined by us and in compliance with UAE law.

6. Lithium Battery Pro-Rata Warranty Terms

The 10-year warranty for Lithium Batteries includes a pro-rata provision after a certain period (e.g., after the first 2 or 5 years). This means if a battery fails after the initial full-coverage period, the customer will be responsible for a portion of the replacement cost, which increases annually. The specific pro-rata formula and cost schedule will be provided in the separate battery warranty certificate.

7. Limitations & Governing Law

• Proof of Purchase: This warranty is valid only upon presentation of a valid proof of purchase from an authorized Ziewnic distributor or directly from ziewnic.ae.
• Non-Transferable: This warranty is valid only for the original end-user purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners.
• Sole Remedy: The remedies described in this policy are your sole and exclusive remedies for any breach of warranty.
• Governing Law: This Warranty Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Emirate of Dubai.
